Three killed in Central Kingston

Seven persons were shot, three fatally, in two separate attacks in the Kingston Central police division on Thursday night.

The victims have been identified as 11 year-old Taysha Hughes and Richard Allen, both of Fleet Street addresses, and Nicholas Malcolm, otherwise call Thick-a-Back, of a Wildman Street address.

Taysha was a student at Holy Family Primary and Infant School.

A 12 year old boy is among the other victims hospitalised with bullet wounds.

It’s reported that, about 10 p.m., Malcolm, a reputed “area leader”, was standing among a group of people on Wildman Street when a car with several men aboard drove up.

The men reportedly came out of the vehicle and opened fire on Malcolm who was hit several times. He died on the spot.

It was discovered that the 12 year old boy was also shot.

About 10.30, while the cops were processing that scene, gunfire rang out in Fleet Street in Southside.

Little Taysha and Richard Allen were among five persons shot at their housing scheme when gunmen invaded the community.

Investigators believe the attack was in reprisal for the killing of Nicholas Malcolm.
