Traffic changes as NWA closes sections of Water Lane

Motorists planning to travel to downtown Kingston on Monday via Marcus Garvey Drive and Water Lane are being asked to use East Avenue or Industrial Terrace as a section of  Water Lane will be closed to facilitate drainage improvement works.
The National Works Agency says Water Lane will be inaccessible beyond the Port Royal Street intersection.
The work is expected to begin at 8 a.m. and should be completed by 8 pm
The area will be backfilled, to be paved at a later date.
Also on Monday and Tuesday, similar trenching works will be carried out along a section of  the westbound carriageway of  the Mandela Highway at the Tom Cringle Drive intersection.
Motorists may experience delays as the left lane will be restricted to facilitate pipe-laying works.
