Two charged with murder of teen in St. Andrew

Detectives have charged the two men accused of the murder of 13 year-old Shanoya Wray.
Sanjay Maharagh, a 27 year-old school teacher, has been charged with murder, while his co-accused, Lenardo Maddan, a former medical student at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, has been charged with accessory after the fact.
The two accused are scheduled to appear before the St. Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday.
The teenager's skeletal remains were found at a property on Whalley Close in St. Andrew on July 20.
Investigators accused Mr. Maharagh, who is Trinidadian, of killing the teenager and using chemicals to destroy the body.
It is reported that Mr. Maharagh, who taught Shanoya, was charged last year by CISOCA after being accused of having sex with her.
That matter is pending before the Home Circuit Court.
