Two suspects are in police custody in connection with Monday's fatal stabbing of a student of Bog Walk High School in St. Catherine.

It is not clear if the suspects are students.

Kavaughn Barnes, 16, was killed, while another student of Bog Walk High was stabbed and injured.

Assistant Superintendent Dahlia Garrick, head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force Corporate Communications Unit, who confirmed the incident, said the students were attacked about 3 p.m.

It is understood that the incident stemmed from a long standing dispute.
