The police have released the identity of the man who died in Monday morning three vehicle collision along the Boscobel main road in St. Mary.
He has been identified as 33 year old Patrick Wallace of Warner Street, Port Maria in the parish.
According to Senior Superintendent Calvin Allen, head of the police Highway and Traffic Division, the crash occured about 7:00 a.m. between two Toyota Fielder motorcars and a Honda Torneo.
It is reported that a private Toyota Fielder, in the process of overtaking, collided with the other Fielder operating as a taxi and travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the private Fielder succumbed to his injuries, while six others who were injured were taken to the St. Ann's Bay and Port Maria hospitals for treatment.
Three students were among those injured. SSP Allen said two of the students are from Oracabessa High School and the other attends the Oracabessa Primary School.
The state of their injuries is not yet known.
