UWI to assist St. Elizabeth farmers in agricultural research

The University of the West Indies (UWI) says it plans to engage farmers in St. Elizabeth through research into a wide variety of agricultural produce and crop.

It will officially open its Agricultural Research and Innovation Facility at Elim, in the parish on Thursday, following the acquisition of section land at the Sydney Pagon Agricultural High School a few years ago.

The UWI says it plans to assist farmers on good agricultural practices and work with students at the school.
