Vendor shot dead in Buff Bay, Portland

A 52 year-old vendor was shot and killed in Buff Bay, Portland last night.
She has been identified as Sandra Gordon of Diamond in Buff Bay.
The incident occurred about 8 o'clock.
Ms Gordon was sitting with relatives outside a shop she operated in Olivere when four armed men approached from the back of the building.
The men, who were armed with rifles and pistols, opened fire at the group.
Ms Gordon's relatives ran leaving her and alerted the Buff Bay police.
When the police arrived at the scene, it was discovered that Ms Gordon had been shot several times.
She died while undergoing treatment in hospital. 
No motive has been established for the attack. 
Superintendent Dwayne Wellington, head of the Portland Police, said this incident brings to four the number of persons murdered in the parish since the start of the year.
Addressing the Portland Municipal Corporation on Thursday, Superintendent Wellington lamented that a woman is again the victim. He said the killing reiterates the need for dispute resolution intervention in Buff Bay.
