Veronica Campbell Brown - guilty

The verdict is in relation to the Veronica Campbell Brown doping hearing.

Campbell Brown, one of Jamaica's most decorated athletes, was  found guilty by the three-member Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) Disciplinary Committee which sat  last month. However, the panel has recommended that the athlete's penalty be limited to a warning in the circumstances of her particular case.

Campbell Brown  tested positive for a banned substance, regarded as a masking agent for performance-enhancing substances. The test was conducted at the Jamaica International Invitational held on May 4 at  the National Stadium

The highly decorated athlete was represented at the hearing by P.J. Patterson, a former Prime Ministr of Jamaica and attorney-at-law as well  high profile overseas attorney Howard Jacobs .
