The woman accused of abducting a baby at the car park of Cornwall Regional Hospital in St. James is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
A news release from the police says 26 year old Melissa Harriott of Norwood in Montego Bay, St. James will appear before the Parish Court to answer a charge of child stealing.
The alleged abduction occurred on January 4 and Miss Harriot was arrested two days later when she was reportedly found with the baby.
The child was reportedly abducted when her mother left her in Miss Harriott's care and went to use the bathroom at the hospital.
