Woman whose body was found floating in Yallahs pond identified

The body of a woman found floating face down in the Yallahs pond in St. Thomas Monday morning has been identified as that of 59 year-old Melona Drysdale of Logan Lane, Duhaney Pen, in the parish. 
 
The police say some time after 7 o'clock a passerby stumbled upon the body floating in the pond and called the police. 
 
Relatives were about to report her missing when they were taken to the scene where she was identified. 
 
RJR News understands that the woman left home on Sunday for church in Kingston but did not return home. 
 
The police believe that she was taken to the location where she was murdered. 
 
They are seeking the assistance of members of the public who may have information about the crime. 
 
This increases to 29, the number of people murdered in St. Thomas since the start of the year.
