The Woodlawn School for Special Education in Mandeville, Manchester has been hard hit by the weekend rains.
The classrooms and administrative offices were flooded, causing damage to computers, books as well as other teaching and learning material.
Delroy Campbell, a teacher at the institution, told RJR News that students in some departments have been displaced.
Classes have also been affected, as much of Monday will be spent cleaning the school.
Although he could not quantify the damage, Mr. Campbell appealed to the business community in Mandeville to assist in restoring the school to normality.
