The National Works Agency (NWA) has said the major rehabilitative work along Constant Spring Road in St. Andrew is not expected to directly affect traffic in the early stages.
The work started on Monday.
The NWA said the work taking place in the vicinity of the Constant Spring Golf Club will be confined to the verges of the road in the initial stages.
NWA Communication Manager Stephen Shaw said four kilometres of the road, between the Red Hills Road intersection with Eastwood Park Road to Manor Park, will be reconstructed over the next fourteen months.
He said the road will be widened from two to four lanes, with sidewalks and concrete median.
Mr. Shaw has advised motorists to make travel plans as there will be some inconveniences during the project.
