Parents who kept child’s body in suitcase fit to plea
A psychiatric evaluation done on the parents of the two year old boy whose decomposed body was found hidden in a suitcase at their home states they are fit to plea.
The couple were ordered remanded when they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday February 21.
The accused, Alphanso and Stephanie Warren, were charged with concealment of death and failure to bury the body of a child.
Their defence team requested the psychiatric evaluation when they appeared in court last month.
Attorney at Law Christian Tavares Finson says the team will now proceed accordingly.
The Government Pathologist determined the child died from natural causes.
