Special Investigation ... let's see what happens. Frederick Hill is known as Mickey to those who knew and loved him. Are the Special Police (Kingston, not Negril) going to get away with murder. Because that is what it was. What about the guns found? ..Where did these guns come from? You didnt say if it was the special police, and you didnt say it was Mickey... Mickey bent over to put down the bag he was carrying...he was asked what was in it...when he put the bag down to show them, he was shot and killed. I personally knew Mickey Hill and he was the most generous, courteous, caring man you would ever want to meet. The bag he was shot over contained food for his dog. I live in St. Louis, MO USA. When he lived St. Louis he worked for my daughter and son-in-law. For a time we lived two condo's apart. My husband was very ill and with Mickey around I never worried about anything. He was a worker than anyone would want to have as an employee...he worked to support his father and siblings in Negril..he worked to help support his son. He met a wonderful woman here in St. Louis and they have been happily married. What the hell is wrong with the Government in Jamaica that they can allow something like this to happen. The Special Police .did not ask for Mickey's name..they were after a wanted man that fit Mickey's description. Tall, shaved, Jamaician. I have been to Jamaica many, many times and do you have any idea how many tall, shaved, Jamaician men there are... Shame on Kingston, Jamaica where these bastards came from .. you just killed a man that was loved by many and only did good in this world. He didnt care what color you were, where you were from, how you treated him...he was respectful, good, kind and proper. Do something about this. He can not go down without the "Government" of Jamaica punishing the man (or men) that killed this man. From what I understand..they might get a slap on the wrist. I need to know to heal my heart that someone pays, and pays big time what they have taken away from his wife, son, siblings, father and friends that loved him. I want to see more in the news and do not want it to go away, ever. This will happen again and again .. someone innocent will die by the hands of the very people that are to protect them..
It's not true. Police murder an innocent man, a respectful person, captain of boats in Negril, no gun was in the place where Frederick got killed. The police made a brutal mistake and murder a righteous man in cold blood, carry away the body right away so they could set up things. They perform their murder in front of many witnesses including Frederick's two brothers and try now to cover up their mess, as they always try do in Jamaica. Frederick Malcolm Hill was a very well known person and universally respected for his righteousness. In his memory we are looking for justice now.
I am outraged over the murder of a good friend of mine Fredrick Hill (Mikey Hill) yesterday in Negril, Jamaica. I live in Canada and have visited Jamaica for many years where I got to know Mikey. He was the most pleasant, honest, and respectful person that anyone could meet. This man should of not died yesterday in the hands of the law! There needs to be JUSTICE for Mikey Hill. In Canada and all over the world,we have heard of this tragedy and are now following closely to see that Justice will prevail for his friends and family. Respectfully Yours Carmela Anaclerio
Please continue your coverage of this event. This senseless murder of a well-loved (by family and friends internationally) must be investigated and someone held accountable. The murder has to stop somewhere. Please help do your part in preserving the dignity of this man's life.
How dare you make a statement like that. Have you spoken to the officers on scene? The ones who shot him three times and fled the scene? Have you spoke to the people that removed his body? Mickey Hill never owned a gun and would not have carried one. This is an out and out lie. He was unarmed when he was murdered by the police, he had just come from grocery shopping. He had a tin milk and cornmeal in his bag when they shot him. His character was on a level that most people cannot attain to, to hear you slander his name this way is unacceptable. If you are going to do an investigation do it properly, do not pretend to know what you are talking about. Mickey Hill's life as a caring and giving individual is well documented, I can't say as much for the police .
Have you lost your minds. Which one was the gun the cornmeal or the sweet milk.. There are witnesses and there is not one police officer that has been to the scene that mentioned he had a gun. Mickey Hill was a decent hard working man that was Murdered in cold blood. He was then thrown in the back of a police pick up truck like nothing I have seen before that should happen to a human being. Why did the officers have on masks and covered their badge numbers. This man was the salt of the earth and you have done him and every Jamaican a injustice by reporting such lies and scandals. You need to retract your statement or prove to us where these lies come from. No where on any other news station or paper have these lies been said. You need to check your facts before reporting news....
and now there are reports on the radio that "the man had a gun". Nah true! Let's get the truth. Everyone who knew the man he wouldn't own a gun.
Around the world we are mourning the death of a well liked, respected Negril Man. Someone needs to be held accountable for this senseless act of Murder by those who are paid to serve and protect the Foreign and Local people in Jamaica. Fredrick Malcolm Hill lost his life on Norman Manley Blvd and we want to see something done to explain how and why this could happen in our tight knit community. We demand that the coverage of this horrific act be addressed at a Public Meeting with those who hold the high office's in Jamaica. RIP Mickey Hill gone, but never to be forgotten! Bless
I've never seen an incident shake up Negril as this one has. This gentleman came from a highly regarded Negril family. The victim was beloved by everyone. The person described by the media is not known to us This is totally a fabrication by the police to cover this up. Several people saw everything that happened and they all said the same story. From young to old, they all agree on the facts. The police killed him for no reason and were trigger happy. As local residents living in Negril we are finally saying "hey, this could happen to us" We are all mad as hell and aren't going to take this anymore. This has to be fully investigated and a report given to the Negril community on what the special investigation squad is doing. Police say there was a gun, they better publish the fingerprints so that we can have proof of what they are saying and not have to listen to a bunch of up lies so that the police department and local officials can look good and this cover up swept under the rug. We will not settle for anything less than the truth for the sake of Mickeiy's legacy and the Hill family.
You have got to be kidding me. That's their story??? I have known Mickey Hill for 30 years. He has not, nor would he ever own a gun! For God's sake he won't even eat animals. You really need to investigate and do better reporting than this. Mickey was beloved by all, has an unfathomable number of friends from around the globe and we will not stand for this. He was murdered in cold blood and someone needs to held accountable.
