Corruption trial of former TCI ministers to go beyond 2016

The corruption trial in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) of former government ministers and others is expected to continue beyond 2016.

Chief prosecutor Andrew Mitchell said the trial is going much slower than expected. The proceedings began in December last year and were expected to last six months.

Mr. Mitchell acknowledged on Wednesday that they expect to interview about 100 witnesses and are currently on number eight.
