Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves of St Vincent & the Grenadines says government technicians are working to restore the country’s main website in the shortest possible time, after it was hacked on Sunday, purportedly by sympathisers of the terrorist group, Islamic State.
Dr. Gonsalves announced on Wednesday that all diplomatic protocols have been followed, including informing US authorities of the incident.
Dr Gonsalves also sought to assure the public that emails and other sources of information remain intact.
On Sunday the website was hacked and users saw a message saying "hacked by moroccanwolf - Islamic State"
