The University of the West Indies - Cave Hill campus - has deferred fees for Dominican students at the start of this academic year in the wake of Tropical Storm Erika.
Professor Eudine Barriteau, Principal of the Cave Hill campus, made the announcement on Sunday at a news conference.
She said Cave Hill took an early decision to defer all payments owed by Dominican students until such time as their sponsors, whether they be guardians, relatives or the Government of Dominica itself, find the situation at home sufficiently improved to pay the tuition.
