2000 Guineas winter-book favourite opens 2019 campaign belatedly

2,000 Guineas classic aspirant Run Thatcher Run is in a race against time to see if he will be fit for the April 14 event at Caymanas Park. Conditioned by Wayne DaCosta, the half-brother to She's A Maneater, has not raced since the Jamaica 2 Year Old Stakes on Boxing Day because of a shin problem. With Omar Walker aboard, the 3 year old chestnut colt will be going up against older horses for the first time in the optional $1 million to $800,000 high claiming contest going over 6 furlongs.

Meanwhile, former Horse of the Year She's A Maneater will make her seasonal debut in the Chairman's Trophy, a Graded Stakes contest  over 7 and a half furlongs. 11 races are on the programme with first post set for 11:50 am.
