Academian to face army man for JABA presidency

Army man Major Clifton Lumsden and academian Paulton Gordon, will face off for the presidency of the Jamaica Basketball Association (JABA) when the associaition's Annual General Meeting (AGM) and elections are held this weekend. Major lumsden will be making his fourth attempt for the presidency while this will be Gordon's second shot at running for the top job.

Major Lumsden says he has done his homework while Gordon, who is a member of the current JABA executive and a lecturer at UTech is also confident of taking the top job, noting he has learnt some lessons on the job.

According to Gordon, his team is positioned to bring the sport on par with the traditional sports such as track and field and football in the country. The AGM and elections will be held on Sunday at the Jamaica Olympic Association headquarters starting at 11:00 am.
