Adoration and Attorney General share co-features at Caymanas Park

Adoration and  Attorney General won the Mercury Sprint and Eight Thirty Sprint respectively, over the five straight course, the co-features at Caymanas Park on Saturday. Going off at odds of 7-2, Adoration with veteran jockey Ian Spence riding for 1-time former champion trainer Phillip Feanny, had the measure of the field in the Mercury Sprint, a maiden special weight contest for native bred three year old colts and geldings.

When asked to run by Spence, the 3 year old bay colt put distance between himself and the rest of the field. Adoration won by 9 lengths in one minute and three fifths and the winning connections said their plan for 1-5 favourite Halls of Justice worked.

Meanwhile, Attorney General in a come from behind run, landed the Eight Thirty Sprint, a maiden special weight contest for native bred three year old fillies.

The grey filly who was piloted by Aaron Chatrie for trainer Spencer Chung, won by three and a quarter lengths in one minute, one and one fifth. Racing continues on Sunday with a 9-race card.
