Ambassador goes

RJR Sports Online understands that Ambassador Hon. Courtney Walsh will resign as vice president of the Jamaica Cricket Association.

Walsh's decision comes following his elevation to the West Indies Cricket Board's selection panel.

Walsh was elected as the second Vice President of the JCA on William "Billy" Heaven's slate at the JCA's elections last year.

It's understood that Walsh will stand down as a member of the local selection panel.

The former West Indies Captain was among a five member JCA panel, which was responsible for the selection of all national teams.

He was chairman of the Under-19 panel with Wavel Hinds as head of the senior panel.

Walsh was named among the four member West Indies selection panel, which is chaired by Clive Lloyd.
