Another Bullet wins Ash Wednesday Trophy at Caymanas Park

Proven Grade 1 campaigner  Another Bullet won the Ash Wednesday Trophy, going over 6 and a half furlongs, at Caymanas Park on Wednesday. The 6 year old bay horse saddled by Patrick ‘Wacky’ Lynch stepped down to Overnight Allowance company following an injury in December.

Ridden by 2-time former champion jockey Shane Ellis, the 4-1 chance, finished  two and a quarter lengths ahead of Princess Emanuelle in a time of one minute, 19-and-two-fifths of a second.

Ellis and Omar Walker had a double while trainers Wayne DaCosta and Carl Anderson also saddled two winners each. Meanwhile two of the recently licensed trainers saddled their first career win on Wednesday’s programme.

Derrick Roman tasted success in the opening event courtesy of the 2-1 shot Minnifia with apprentice Javaniel Patterson while Donovan Russell landed the 6th event with Senor Kwanzi, at 2-1 with another apprentice Oneil Scott aboard. Racing continues on Saturday.
