Another win for Atkinson in Singapore

Jamaica's two-time Olympic finalist Alia Atkinson secured her second victory in two days on the Singapore leg of the FINA Short Course World Cup on Saturday.

Atkinson produced another super swim to win the 50 metre breaststroke in 28.91 seconds, equalliing her national record set at the 2014 World Short Course Championships.

Russian rival Yulia Efimova placed second, 49 hundredths of a second behind Atkinson with 29.40 seconds, while America's Molly Hannis was third in 29.62 seconds.

Saturday's win by Atkinson followed swiftly on Friday's victory in the 100m breastroke where she stopped the clock at 1 minute, 02.40 seconds.
