Asafa finishes 2nd in short sprint

Two time world 100m bronze medallist, Asafa Powell, was beaten into second place over 60 metres at the New Balance indoor meet.

Powell who posted 6.57 seconds to win his preliminary race was beaten by America Trell Kimmons in the final.

Powell’s time of 6.52 seconds is the joint fourth fastest time in the world so far, with Kim Collins of St. Kitts and Nevis owning the year's best time of 6.48secs.
