Former 100 metres world record holder Asafa Powell says he's looking to be on the medal podium at this summer's IAAF World Championships in London.
Speaking on HitZ 92 FM Girls Sports Club on Wednesday, Powell is hoping for a change in fortune this year after missing out on competing in the 100m at the Olympic Games in Rio last summer.
“I just want to stay healthy. Once I am healthy then I’ll be fine. I want to go to the World Championships; be on the podium and represent Jamaica as usual,” said Powell.
Despite his ordinary season in 2016, Powell says he remains thankful.
