Campbell Brown wins 200m at National Senior Championship
Veronica Campbell -Brown won the 200 metres final at the JAAA/ Supreme Ventures Limited National Senior Championship at the National Stadium in 22.44 seconds on Sunday followed by Keron Stewart 22.63 and Sherone Simpson with 22.73.
In the male 200 metres final, Steve Mullings won in 20.11 seconds followed by Nickel Ashmeade with 20.32 and Mario Forsythe with 20.36.
Despite finishing fourth in the 400 metres final, national record holder Jermaine Gonzales is still bound for Daegu, South Korea, for the 2011 IAAF World Championship.
Gonzales finished behind winner Riker Hylton, and Leford Greene who was in second and Lansford Spence in third.
Novlene Williams-Mills posted 50.05 seconds-- the second fastest time in the world this year to win the women's title over Rosemarie Whyte who
clocked 50.40 --the same time as Allyson Felix won the American title with on Saturday.
World Champion silver-medalist Shericka Williams was third in 50.81 seconds. The 100 metre hurdles final was won by Indira Spence.
Former National Champion Delloreen Ennis was third with Vonette Dixon second.
World Champion Brigitte Foster-Hylton opted not to compete in the finals.
Andrew Riley won the men's 110 metre hurdles final ahead of national record holder Dwight Thomas with Richard Pillips third.
