Chambers names National Women's Indoor track athlete of the week
Jamaica's Verone Chambers of Oklahoma Baptist has been named NAIA National Women’s Indoor track athlete of the week . Chambers, a national representative who was selected based her performances from January 9-15 ran NAIA automatic qualifying times in all four events she participated in at the Texas Tech Open on January
14 in Lubbock, Texas. Her time of 54.33 topped a field of 36 runners in the 400-meter and set an Oklahoma Baptist school record.
The senior has now been named indoor track athlete of the week three times in her career to go with her 13 national championships and 19 NAIA all-America mentions.
