Atkinson lands second gold at Short Course Championships

Jamaica's Alia Atkinson continued her good showing in the FINA Short Course Championships, grabbing gold in the 100 metre breaststroke in Budapest, Hungary on Friday. The 2017 National Sportswoman of the Year clocked 1 minute, 02.80 seconds, just off her world record 1:02.36 seconds.

This is the second gold medal for Atkinson in the 2018 Short Course Championships after winning at the third leg in Eidenhoven. Atkinson competes in the 50 metre breaststroke on Saturday when she will once again renew rivalry with the Russians.
