Commentary by Track Announcer Brian Rickman

The title-chasing jockey/trainer combination of Dick Cardenas and Anthony "Baba" Nunes landed the 12th running of the Pick 3 Super Challenge Trophy with the 1-2 favourite Corazon over 7 furlongs at Caymanas Park on Saturday. The 2 year old bay filly Corazon returned 1 minute, 26.3 to win by a-length-and-a-quarter over the 14-1 chance Lady Blue in what was the 12th running of the event which is the second leg in the Supreme Ventures 2 Year Old Series.

The final leg of the series, the Jamaica 2 Year Old Stakes over a mile, will be run on Boxing Day. Meanwhile, the intense battles for the jockey's and trainer's championships made interesting turns once again. Leading rider Anthony Thomas rode a three-timer to go nine wins clear of Dick Cardenas who had a double on the 10 race card.

Nunes also had a double to cut champion trainer Wayne DaCosta's lead to just over $1 million in stakes earnings with DaCosta who started the day with a lead of $2.7 million , having one winner on the programme. Racing continues next Saturday with the fourth running of the ultra-rich Diamond Mile being the feature.
