Barbados Pride tighten the screws against Jamaica Franchise

Jamaica Franchise are up against it entering Monday's 4th and final day of their WICB PCL match against Barbados Pride at Sabina Park.

The Pride hold an overall lead of 250 runs with 8-second innings wickets remaining and a day to go, knowing full well the Jamaica Franchise batting is a brittle one.

Jamaica resumed on Sunday's 3rd day on 222-9, but were quickly dismissed for 228 as Jomel Warrican ended with 8-72. Batting a second time, Barbados rattled up 168-2, with  skipper Kraigg Brathwaite unbeaten on 78 following his first innings duck. Shamarh Brooks is not out on 21 while Omar Phillips made 59 against Jason Dawes  2-28 following his first innings haul on 4-57.

At Windsor Park in Dominica, tournament leaders the Guyana Jaguars resuming on 5-289 on Sunday closed on 427 all out, as Christopher Barnwell 104 not out overnight made 148, and Shivnarine Chanderpaul on 83 overnight, ended on 118. The two staged a 251 run 6th wicket partnership, rescuing the Jaguars from 5-111. 

Shane Shillingford ended with 5-118.

The Windwards Volcanoes reached 113-6 in their second innings, trailing by 31 runs. Tyrone Theophile is not out on 45 against Veerasammy Permaul 3-20.

Scores: Volcanoes  283 and 113-6; Jaguars 427.

And at the National Cricket Centre in Couva in Trinidad, the Leewards Hurricanes set 241 to win, will enter Monday's 4th and final day needing a further 207 runs to win with 8 second innings wickets in hand.

The Leewards resumed on 245-9 on Sunday and were dismissed for 277 as Imran Khan took 4-70. Batting a second time, Trinidad & Tobago Red Force were unconvincing, and were bowled out for 226 with Kjorn Ottley topscoring with 80 and Jason Mohammed 32 against Rahkeem Cornwall 3-77.

Chasing 241 to win, the Hurricanes are 34-2 after being 2 wickets for 1 run. Montcin Hodge is 23 not out and Devon Thomas is on 9.

Scores: T&T 291 and 226; Hurricanes 277 and 34-2.
