Barry Watson takes over as Manchester FA president

Former vice-president of the Manchester Football Association (MFA), and member of the JFF Technical Committee, Baron ‘Barry’ Watson, is the new president of the Manchester Football Association. Watson's elevation to the top job was ratified recently, following the resignation of former president, Dalton Wint to take up duties as JFF General Secretary last year.

At a press briefing on Tuesday, Member of Parliament for North West Manchester, Mikael Phillips handed over his sponsorship cheque for $1million for the association's major league. The new major league sponsorship comes after the discontinuation of the Captain’s Bakery   ten year partnership, following the death of founder and CEO Captain Horace Burrell.
