Bernard Hopkins wins title at age 49

Bernard Hokins has become the oldest boxer to unify a weight division.

The 49-year-old Hopkins added the WBA Light Heavyweight crown to his IBF title with a split decision victory over Kazakhstan's Beibut Shumenov.

Hopkins won 116-111 on two of the judges' scorecards, while one judge scored it 114-113 for Shumenov.

The result took Hopkins' career to 55 wins in 65 fights.
