Three time Diamond Mile runner-up Bigdaddykool who is seeking to rack up stakes earnings, for the November 9 prestigious event, is the 4-5 ante-post favourite to land the Prime Minister's Stakes, the main feature over 10 furlongs, at Caymanas Park on Saturday. Bigdaddykool who only got into last year's Diamond Mile after the withdrawal of stable companion Fayrouz, will be looking to secure the win from the $1.3 million purse to put him in good stead to run in this year's Diamond Mile.
The year to date earnings for the Anthony Nunes trained 6 year old bay gelding is approximately $900,000 and getting his second win in four starts would tip him a little over $1.5 million. To be ridden by apprentice Reyan Lewis, Bigdaddykool is a top class stayer and will get the ideal trip going two turns.
He has three other stablemates Houdini's Magic, Dontae and Fayrouz for company along with Ian Parsard's Superluminal and Lawrence Freemantle's Bruce Wayne. The race is set to start at 4:10 pm
Meanwhile, Wayne DaCosta's debutant Tomohawk is the 3-5 overnight favourite for the first leg of the Nutramix Series, the Front Runner Dash going five furlongs round. A full brother to 2018 Governor's Cup winner Drummer Boy, the 2 year old bay colt has worked well in exercise and could open his account the first time of asking.
Patrick Taylor's Another Commander and Lorenzo Robinson's Powerman who are also debutants, should make it an interesting trip. Seven horses are set to face the starter at 3:00 pm. First post for the 10 race card is 12:35 pm.
