Blackwood moves up in ICC test rankings

Jamaican Jermaine Blackwood made the most significant gain as a West Indian on the recently released International Cricket Council (ICC) test batting ranking jumping 11 places to 41st.

Blackwood was rewarded for his 95 in the second innings of the West Indies second test against Pakistan on Tuesday.

The ranking also showed Darren Bravo falling one place to 21st while Kraigg Brathwaite moved up two places to 32nd.

Pakistan's Younis Khan also registered a positive move, stepping up three places to second behind Australia's Steve Smith following his 33rd test century during the same match.

In the bowling department, Shannon Gabriel made huge strides moving 10 places to 38th. The bowling ranking for test cricket is led England's Stuart Broad, with Yasir Shah second after shifting up one place.
