Blaine wants CONCACAF WCQs postponed

Director of Football for the US Virgin Islands Football Association, Jamaican Vin Blaine is the latest administrator calling for the 2022 CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers to be postponed. Blaine joins the football associations of Trinidad and Tobago and  Bermuda and Jamaicans Andrew Edwards and Omar Edwards (no relation) who work with the Turks and Caicos Islands national programme in calling for the August 31 start date to be pushed back.

Blaine who is a former head coach of the Reggae Girlz, feels pushing it back later in the year is the wise decision to make. FIFA has already postponed qualifiers in the Asian and South American Football Confederations.

The world governing body is due to meet with CONCACAF later this month to discuss the possible rescheduling of the World Cup Qualifiers.
