2011 world 100m champion Yohan Blake has been added to the list of elite athletes to compete at the 4th staging of the Addidas Racers Grand Prix on Saturday, June 8 at the National Stadium. Blake clocked a season's best 9.98 seconds in May, which puts him eighth in the world this year on the IAAF rankings.
Earlier this season, Blake announced that he had parted company with long-time coach Glen Mills but would remain at Racers Track Club under the guidance of Patrick Dawson. Also added the line-up is 100 metre hurdles world record holder Kendra Harrison of the United States. Harrison ran a season's best 12.47 seconds earlier this month.
Blake and Harrison join the likes of Olympic champions Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Asafa Powell, Kirani James and Shaunae Miller-Uibo who were announced earlier this month. Live coverage of the Adidas Racers Grand Prix will be on TVJ, TVJ SN, one spot media dot com and Hitz 92 FM..
