Bolt makes first appearance for Central Coast Mariners

Jamaica's double sprint world record holder Usain Bolt made his first appearance for Central Coast Mariners in Australia on Friday in a 20-minute cameo . The Jamaican sprint king, who wore the number 95 shirt, came on in the 71st minute of a pre-season friendly against Central Coast Football, to huge cheers from the crowd and fireworks.

Bolt, who admitted before the game he was not match fit and, looked winded quickly before a late flurry, narrowly failing to get on the end of a low cross after a sprint into the box, before seeing a shot blocked. Almost 10,000 fans witnessed the match at the Central Coast Stadium. Bolt's team won the contest against the amateurs 6-1. Bolt is on a indefinite trial with the Mariners.
