Jamaican sprinting legend Usain Bolt won his fourth Laureus Sportsman of the Year award at Tuesday's ceremony in Monaco.
Bolt, who won gold medals in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 4x100 metres at last summer's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, also walked away with the coveted award in 2013, 2010 and 2009.
In his reply, bolt not only thanked the academy for the award but thanked his fans for believing in him and supporting him.
“It was rough leading up to the Olympics but it pushed me to working harder so that I didn’t end up in the same position like the year before (in terms of injuries). So I was in much better shape for this Olympics (Rio) than the last one,” said Bolt. He also urged his fans to believe in their dreams and work hard.
