Boys' Town moves out of RSPL relegation zone

Boys’ Town are now out of the relegation zone after chalking up a crucial 2-1 win over title holders Montego Bay United in their rescheduled Red Stripe Premier League encounter at the Barbican Complex on Thursday. The Andrew Price - coached team made way for new tenants at the foot of the table after almost six months.

The ‘Red Brigade’ got goals from Rafiek Thomas in the 20th minute and Jamiel Hardware in time added to record their third consecutive victory following wins over Jamalco and Maverley Hughenden.

The victory by Boys' Town pushed Maverley Hughenden into the relegation zone and lifted Boys' Town to ninth on 29 points, three points above the drop zone. Jamalco are now rock-bottom on 26 points.

Meanwhile, a 90th minute strike by Dicoy Williams earned Arnett Gardens a come-from-behind 2-2 draw with Portmore United in the day's other rescheduled encounter at the Spanish Town Prison Oval.
