BREAKING: Whitmore withdraws resignation letter

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Kayon Raynor

Reggae Boyz head coach Theodore 'Tappa' Whitmore has withdrawn his resignation and has agreed to the new terms of his contract following a meeting at the JFF headquarters in Kingston on Friday. Though no figure was disclosed following Friday's meeting, Whitmore says he is now happy with the new terms and is ready to take full command of the national programme once again.

Whitmore handed in his resignation last Friday after months of negotiations and discussions failed to produce a contract that he would have deemed acceptable. Minister of Sports Olivia “Babsy” Grange acted as a mediator between Whitmore and the Jamaica Football Federation is bringing about an amicable resolution to the dispute.
