World Under-20 sprint double champion Briana Williams heads the list of athletes on Jamaica's team selected for this month's Carifta Track and Field Championship in the Cayman Islands. The Under-20 girls team also includes sprint hurdler Ackera Nugent and middle distance runner Shaquena Foote.
The boys Under 20 team is headed by "Boys Champs" 800 metres record holder Kimar Farquharson, record holder in the long jump Wayne Pinnock and Carifta Trials 110 metres hurdles sprint hurdles champion vashaun vascianna.
Meanwhile, sprint hurdles champion Neil Matthew-Sutherland is included in the Under-17 boys side while Class Three 80 metres hurdles champion Kayla-Gay Clarke and 800 metres champion Kishay Rowe are listed in the girls team.
The team of 80 athletes will be conditioned by a five member coaching staff headed by St Jago's boys head coach Marlon Gayle. The Carifta Games will run from April 20-22 at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex in the Cayman Islands.
