Charles says Windies in high spirits

West Indies opening batsman Johnson Charles says the team is in high spirits as they look forward to Friday's first Twenty20 International against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.

The Windies returned to training on Wednesday morning following Tuesday’s 22 run win over the Emirates Cricket Board X1 in their one-off T20 warm-up match and Charles says despite not fully adapting to the conditions in the UAE, the team is still upbeat ahead of the series.

Charles who scored 42 in the Winides score of 166-7, from their 20 overs, also had high praises for debutants Nicholas Pooran who top-scored with 47 and Jamaican Rovmon Powell who made 38. The Windies are set to play their first of three T20 Internationals on Friday.
