Three former national players have been shortlisted for the head coaching role with the Jamaica Scorpions ahead of the 2019-2020 regional season. Former wicketkeeper batsman Andre Coley who is out of contract with the Windward Islands Volcanoes, is the front-runner to land the post after expressing interest in the job to the end of last season.
Also making the three member shortlist is current assistant coach Andrew Richardson who has been with the team for the past two seasons. The third candidate is former opening batsman Brenton Parchment who is currently in Holland.
Parchment also played two tests for the West Indies along with 7 One Day Internationals and one T20 International against South Africa in 2007. The Jamaica Cricket Association is expected to name the successor for Robert Samuels next Wednesday.
