CONCACAF opens new office in Jamaica

Voice of CONCACAF president Victor Montagliani

More attention is expected to come Jamaica's way from football lovers across the globe as the island is now the base of CONCACAF's only other office outside its Miami Headquarters.

The office located at the Courtleigh Business Centre in New Hingston, was ceremonially opened on Wednesday with former Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) General Secretary Horace Reid at the helm.

Reid, who previously served as Competitions Director at CONCACAF's Florida office, will hold the post of Director of Caribbean football.

Montagliani and Reid also sought to dispel any notion of a conflict of interest with the presidency of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). And despite the proximity to the JFF, Reid noted that the office would be available for the entire region. CONCACAF is the governing body for football in North America, Central America and the Caribbean regions.
