CONCACAF to suspend Women's U-17 Championship

The governing body of football in the region, CONCACAF has announced that it will be suspending the Women's Under 17 Championship. The tournament  was set to be hosted in Mexico from April 18 to May 3.

The young Reggae Girlz are in Group "G" of the competition alongside the United States, Puerto Rico and Nicaragua.
CONCACAF is hoping to reschedule the tournament for the summer. This event will see the top three teams qualifying for the FIFA Women's U-17 World Cup in India in November. Jamaica's best finish in the U-17 Championship was fourth in 2013 on home soil.
