Two weeks after members of the International Cricket Council had an inspection at Sabina Park, the mecca of cricket in Jamaica, is once again in the spotlight.
Three hours were lost on Saturday’s third day of the regional 4-day contest between Jamaica Scorpions and the Barbados pride due to wet spots on the playing area.
With no rain on Saturday morning into the afternoon, play which was set to resume at 1:30 pm on the third day, got underway at 4:30.
One match official told RJR Sports that play was delayed due to wet spots on the area adjacent to the playing wicket as well as an area surrounding one of the bowlers’ run-up. No official was willing to give comment on camera.
