West Indies batting star Chris Gayle has been diagnosed with a grade two groin injury, leaving his campaign in the South African Twenty20 Challenge in doubt.
The left-hander who arrived in South Africa Sunday underwent an assessment on Monday February 20. He reportedly picked up the injury during the Bangladesh Premier League.
While he was officially unveiled as a Dolphins player on Tuesday February 21 the KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union chief executive Jesse Chellan said Gayle was being monitored.
