Dacres breaks national discus record again

World Championship representative Fedrick Dacres once again broke his own national record with a massive 69.83 metre throw at the King of the Ring meet held at the Excelsior High School on Saturday. Dacres' effort bettered his 68.88 set last year at the same meet.

He has also improved his world-leading effort, having thrown 68.08 metres at the Big Shot Invitational also at Excelsior on January 20. Another notable performance came from Ediwn Allen's Fiona Richards who took the class 1 double, winning the girls shot put with 14.39 metres and the discus throw with 52 metres flat.
