Dates set for Spencer and Hylton to face anti-doping disciplinary panel

Dates have been set for the preliminary hearings of track and field athletes Kaliese Spencer and Riker Hylton, who have been accused of anti-doping violations by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission, JADCO.

Spencer, a medallist at the World Indoor and outdoor championships as well as the 2014 commonwealth games, is set to appear before the Independent Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel at 10:00 am at the Jamaica Conference Centre on Wednesday.

Hylton, who secured the mile relay bronze at the 2011 World Championships, is scheduled to appear at his preliminary hearing at the same venue on Thursday starting at 2:30 pm.

Spencer and Hylton are accused of evading, refusing or failing to submit to sample collection by JADCO, which carries a maximum sanction of a four year ban. Both athletes have denied the charge and have retained legal teams to challenge the assertion made by JADCO.
