Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls could know their fate on Wednesday when the second set of games in Group 'G' of stage two at the Netball World Cup gets going in Liverpool, England. The Jamaicans who hold the slimmest of hopes of advancing to the semi-finals, are fourth in Group 'G' on two points, following their defeat to England on Monday.
It means the Sunshine Girls can finish on a maximum 6 points should they beat Scotland on Wednesday and Uganda on Thursday. But their fate could be sealed before their final group game on Thursday as England and South Africa who are already on 6 points, will also be in action on Wednesday.
England could seal a semi-final spot should they get the better of Trinidad and Tobago when they meet at 9:00 am Jamaica time. South Africa could also confirm a place in the last four by beating Uganda in their game which starts at 1:00 pm.
This means at the end of Wednesday, the number two ranked Jamaicans may have to switch focus to placement spots below 4th. The Jamaica versus Scotland game will be played at 11:00 am Jamaica time.
